Moscow – Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has summed up results of online store operations in Moscow Region. In 2016, an average quarterly growth of online connections to Tele2 totaled 13%.
The operator has pointed out increasing popularity of this sales channel in Moscow Region. In 2H16, a number of additions made online increased 22% compared to the first half of the year, whereas a total number of SIMs purchased by subscribers since the launch of online store exceeded 500 thou. When purchasing SIMs, most Moscow subscribers choose bundle tariffs (“Black”, “Super Black”, “Ultra Black” and “Pitch Black”) – they account for 70% of orders.
There are over 180 thou numbers available to online shoppers. Tele2 is now offering its subscribers a wide choice of numbers at msk.shop.tele2.ru, including SIMs distinguished by just one digit. Silver, gold and platinum vanity numbers are still in great demand by Moscow clients. Last year they bought over 4 thou SIMs with vanity digital combinations.
In 2016, the number of branded devices purchased online considerably increased: an average monthly growth of these orders totaled 34%. Tele2 Mini turned out to be the most popular device, it was followed by Tele2 Midi, whereas Tele2 Midi LTE was ranked third in the list of high-demand branded devices. At the end of the year the range of branded devices was expanded by two new models − Tele2 Maxi and Tele2 Maxi LTE.
Visitors of Tele2 store may receive their orders in one of 300 PoS or by choosing courier delivery. In June 2016, Tele2 started providing delivery for free to Moscow Region residents. Last year around 78% clients used customer pick-up services, remaining customers received orders by courier. Besides, the operator’s online store is offering clients an MNP service with delivery. It is just need to fill in an online application for signing up with Tele2 service with an old number. In 2016, the number of online connections to Tele2 as a part of MNP totaled over 40% of all online orders.
