Moscow – Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has upgraded “Plus messengers” service. The option allows the company’s clients to use Viber messenger without paying for Internet traffic.
“Plus messengers” service is providing unlimited Internet traffic to users of WhatsApp and Viber applications. The option includes free-toll exchange of messages, photo and video content. Voice and video calls in messengers are paid in compliance with the subscriber’s current tariff and discounts.
Clients may activate the service in their personal account (My Tele2) or by sending the request to *155*521#. To switch off the option, it is necessary to dial *155*520#. The subscriber fee totals 2 rubles per day. The service is also available to corporate clients of the company.
The number of “Plus messengers” users has increased 2.5 times since 2017. WhatsApp and Viber are most popular messengers among Tele2 subscribers. Almost 5.9 mn clients use WhatsApp, over 3 mn subscribers communicate via the service on a daily basis. The number of Viber users on the Tele2 network exceeds 4 mn people.
