Tele2 and Apple agree on cooperation

Moscow – Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, and Apple have signed an agreement on cooperation in developing telecom services. Partnership will let improve the quality of iPhone operations on the Tele2 network.

Agreement between Tele2 and Apple is opening new opportunities for cooperation. Partnership will provide a fast launch of new iOS-based services and support their stable work at iPhone devices on the Tele2 network. Upgrade of the operating system and applications will allow considerable improvement in quality of Tele2 services including data speed at Apple devices.  

Partnership between the companies is not confined to technical support: the agreement also implies joint marketing events. Programs will target promotion of Tele2 new services and Apple devices among acting and potential clients.

As of 1Q17, the number of iPhone devices among smartphones registered on the Tele2 network totaled 10%. This indicator exceeds 17% in Moscow Region. iPhone 5S is most popular with the operator’s clients. According to Tele2, iPhone owners show ARPU that exceeds the same indicator among owners of other devices by 55%.
