Tele2 launches top-up service with Apple Pay

Moscow – Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has expanded opportunities for top-ups. The company has launched the service for payment acceptance via Apple Pay.

Owners of iPhone, iPad and other Apple devices may now pay for Tele2 services at the operator’s website by using Apple Pay. It is only needed to access and choose an option for Apple Pay top-up.

The company is planning to launch payment acceptance in customers’ personal accounts and the My Tele2 application. Tele2 will also offer an opportunity of easy top-ups for owners of Android-based devices.

Users choose Tele2 website to top up their mobile account more often: this kind of transactions made between June 2016 and July 2017 exceeded 5 mn. In June the number of iPhone devices among smartphones registered on the Tele2 network exceeded 10%. The number of Apple smartphones has increased 3 pps over the last year.
